23 weeks

I got brave. I finally let Mark take a picture of my "baby bump". I have had quite a bump the entire time, since I found out I was pregnant, but I tell myself it is because I am so small. I kept avoiding the "baby bump" pictures because I feel like a tub of lard. Not sure what got into me, but here it is:

P.S. - The both of us felt him move in my belly this past week!

Cravings

I haven't mixed anything weird together yet, but I seem to randomly want something and then eat or drink it non-stop, then I'm totally over it after about a week or two. Here are some of the things I have "craved" so far:

1. Frosted Flakes
2. Fresh pineapple
3. Cookie Dough ice cream
4. Chocolate milk
5. Frozen chocolate chip cookies
6. Bahama Bucks Strawberry-Banana Calypso smoothies
7. corndogs

Cake Decorating: check!

Well, almost check!

Mark took me tonight to sign up for cake decorating classes. I mentioned before how I wanted to take a sewing and a cake decorating class, so I guess I better get started on it. I was actually planning to be in sewing classes as of now, since I was positive I was going to have a baby girl and would be making her tons of clothes, blankets, bows, hats, etc. and now that plans have changed, I didn't think there would be too many things I could actually make for a boy. The good news: this has saved us a ton, and I mean a TON, of money so far.

The classes start on July 5th and are every Monday night for 4 weeks. We will see how this goes. I was a bit disappointed that I am expected to bring loads of supplies and purchase many things to bring to class, but this is Michael's, and not some fancy-shmancy bakery.

1st Baby Book

I made my first ETSY purchase and now I LOVE this website. I am pretty on top of all online shopping, but didn't even really understand what ETSY was...until now. It's basically an EBAY, but the sellers HAND MAKE everything!! I ordered Dylan's 1st baby book from this lady Julie on there and it is the cutest and most perfect little book. I am always trying to find things different from everyone else and the boring baby books in all of the stores just weren't doing anything for me. I wanted to share this lady's etsy website incase others are looking for adorable baby books for themselves or a friend!

It's a BOY!

We found out on June 9th that we will be having a little baby boy! I'm not going to lie, we were both disappointed. Mark and I seem to take to little girls much more and were looking forward to all of the big bows and braiding hair. I guess we will have to learn and go with the flow with this one... everything has been unexpected!!

Homemade Dog Treats

Hurley LOVED these! I don't think I have ever seen a dog want these treats more than anything. He just searches the kitchen counter looking and sniffing for more of them! They were super easy to make:

Peanut Butter Dog Cookies

2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
1 cup milk

1 tsp. of vanilla

Preheat oven to 375'F. In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder. In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk, then add to dry ingredients and mix well. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness and use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Bake for 20 minutes on a greased baking sheet until lightly brown. Cool on a rack, then store in an airtight container.

* I didn't have any small little cookie cutters, so I just rolled small balls into thin strips and folded them like little pretzels!
